Meet Anastasia Rashchevska, the winner of Hope – Children of Ukraine’s Motivational Program: “Knowledge of the English language opens the door to communication with people from different parts of the world.”

Recently, we concluded the motivational program for the first cohort of free English courses for children affected by the war in Ukraine. This program was designed to support those who demonstrate strong motivation and a passion for learning.

The absolute winner was Anastasia Raschevsky, who received a prize – AirPods (3rd generation).

Over six months, Nastya did not miss a single lesson, consistently took on challenging tasks, and always gave her best effort. Her teacher describes her as an ambitious, sincere, fair, and self-critical student.

Nastya discovered the program online and immediately saw it as an opportunity to improve her language skills. She applied to join the next available English learning group and began her journey with Hope – Children of Ukraine.

Anastasia: “I started learning English for self-development, and now I understand that knowing the language opens doors to communication with people from all over the world. This is especially important in business, science, and technology, where exchanging ideas and collaboration are key to success.”

Currently, Nastya is focused on mastering English, but she also plans to explore other languages in the future, such as Italian.

Anastasia also emphasizes the importance of time management: “To find time for everything, you need to set goals, make a schedule, and, most importantly, stick to it. It’s also crucial to plan enough time for rest. I rarely feel apathetic, but when my ‘batteries run low,’ I rest, watch my favorite series, and recharge for the next steps.”

Besides studying English, Nastya is passionate about sports—she practices aerial gymnastics—and she also enjoys needlework.

We congratulate Nastya on her well-deserved success and wish her continued achievements!

You, too, can join the English courses offered by Hope – Children of Ukraine and learn the language in a friendly environment alongside your peers. Stay tuned for upcoming group openings and apply on our website. We look forward to welcoming you!”
